Online Survey 2--Alternative Transportation Considerations
Improving safety and reducing congestion are the two primary goals of the Johnson County Gateway: I-435/I-35/K-10 Interchange Study. To achieve these goals, many options will be reviewed including how and if, alternative transportation solutions may be incorporated. Please provide your opinions regarding these potential solutions. The summary of the initial results collected through August 20, 2009 is now posted for review.
Interchange Use
The I-435/I-35/K-10 interchange area is one of the heaviest traveled sections of highway in northeast Johnson County and the state of Kansas. The goal of the Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) is to move traffic safely and efficiently in and through the area. This initial survey will help KDOT better understand how people use the interchange area and what concerns drivers have, if any, when traveling through the area. The pdf document is a summary of the survey results as of May 12, 2009. Safety and congestion were identified as the biggest issues with the I-435/I-35/K-10 interchange area.
